'Time Change': New Novel Combines Murder Mystery and Modern Technology

CICERO, Ind., July 1, 2008 - Take a trip back into the past in "Time Change" (published by AuthorHouse - http://www.authorhouse.com), the inventive new novel by Karen Hamilton Rice.

Deuce Hart, an MRI technician living in Washington, D.C., works the graveyard shift at National Hospital and generally keeps to himself. Late one night, he is astounded to see what appears to be a ghost wandering around the MRI lab. Finally, after several more sightings, Deuce and fellow MRI technician Jeanine Braun notify the management, who bring in a professional "ghost buster," Dr. B.A. Bother, and his psychic sidekick to help solve the mystery.

While Bother is investigating the apparition in the MRI lab, next door a young doctor, Dana Hastings, is experimenting with holographic imaging. Dr. Hastings, along with Deuce Hart, stumble onto the discovery that when the technologies of MRI and holographic imaging are combined, they produce images of the past - in fact, the images create a camera which can see through time.

Dr. Wally Langley is amazed by their findings and produces a marketable device that can be used by anyone. People now have the ability to witness personal memories from their past as well as the epic events of human history.

While the discovery and development of the time machine is taking place, a serial killer known as Jack the Cooker is terrorizing the Washington, D.C. area. Detective White, in charge of what the media has dubbed the Dinner Time Slayings, becomes aware of the time machine and realizes it could be a useful tool to help him catch the murderer. With the help of one of the inventors, will the detective be able to solve the mystery of Jack the Cooker? Find out in the action-packed final pages of "Time Change."
